CadetHelper
A multi-server Discord bot for the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. It watches the public Uniform of the Day page and posts updates to each configured server, along with optional campus weather, Aggie Spirit bus ETAs, and Corps events.
What it posts
- Uniform of the Day changes, as a maroon embed, when the published image updates. Direct messages go out only when the uniform differs from the first one after 7:00 AM Central Time.

Optional weather alerts for main campus from the National Weather
Service, plus Corps heat-index flag information when it is
available.
/weather showreturns a live outlook, flag status, and an animated radar loop. - Aggie Spirit bus ETAs and a live route map with bus positions. Members can subscribe to a route and stop and get the next three ETAs by direct message.
- A Corps events calendar, with an optional keyword filter, plus per-server events that admins can add on top of the shared calendar.
Per server
Each Discord server keeps its own channel, bot admins, and
schedule. A /setup wizard walks through admins,
channel, Uniform of the Day, weather, and quiet hours. Automatic
posts run on chosen weekdays in Central Time, and quiet hours skip
those alerts. Personal direct-message subscriptions for uniform,
weather, and bus updates are shared across servers. The bot is
written in Python 3.10+ and runs on the homelab.
